You are an experienced Solution Architect, a Senior- or Lead-level professional. You work independently in client projects and rely on your own expertise. You start from business needs: you find out what the client is really trying to achieve and turn those goals into solutions that work, are cost-effective and can actually be delivered. You act as the bridge between leadership, the business and development teams, and you can justify architecture decisions in a way that makes sense in the boardroom too.
You see the big picture, spot dependencies and risks early, and make well-reasoned choices between options, whether that means an off-the-shelf product, custom development or a mix of both. You can also share your knowledge and best practices in a practical, understandable way.

What kind of expertise are we looking for?
At least 5 years of experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture or similar roles
Experience identifying business needs and requirements and turning them into solutions
Experience comparing solution options in terms of cost, risk, lifecycle and vendors
Understanding of business processes and how information systems support them
Experience creating roadmaps and architecture documentation
Understanding of cloud services, integrations and security from a whole-solution perspective
Experience with public sector procurement or preparing tender documents is considered an advantage
Excellent communication and stakeholder skills, and the ability to work independently in client projects
We value experience with methods and technologies such as: TOGAF, ArchiMate, JHS 179, BPMN, UML, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce, LeanIX, Sparx Enterprise Architect

Good architecture is like a good foundation: nobody notices it until it's missing. We are now looking for an experienced Senior/Lead Technical Architect.
If you recognise yourself in this, you might be the expert we're looking for:
You are an experienced Technical Architect, a Senior- or Lead-level professional. You work independently in client projects and rely on your own expertise. You design systems that stand up to load, change and time. Your decisions take scalability, performance, security and maintainability into account, and you can explain them as clearly to a development team as to a client.
Your background is in software development, so you know what architecture looks like at the level of the code. You can analyse existing solutions, spot technical debt and move systems towards a more modern architecture in a controlled way. You can also share your knowledge and best practices in a practical, understandable way.

What kind of expertise are we looking for
At least 8 years of experience in software development and system architecture
Experience designing and documenting technical architecture
Strong expertise in cloud architectures and services
Experience with microservice, event-driven and/or distributed architectures
Good understanding of integrations, APIs and data architecture
Understanding of security, identity management and non-functional requirements
Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
Ability to work independently in client projects and guide development teams on technical solutions
Considered an advantage
Experience with legacy modernisation and migration projects
Familiarity with public sector security requirements, such as Julkri
Architecture certifications, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Certified Solutions Architect
We value experience with technologies such as: Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, Terraform, Kafka, REST, GraphQL, API Management, Java, .NET, Node.js, PostgreSQL, CI/CD, C4 model, ArchiMate

You might be a software developer, project manager, cybersecurity specialist, cloud expert, or UI/UX designer — or your title might be something entirely different. What matters most is that you operate at the Senior or Lead level, are comfortable taking responsibility within projects, and trust your own expertise. You want to use your skills to help our clients succeed in their IT initiatives.

The recruitment process and salary
We review every application and respond to all candidates. We’ll get to know you through your CV or LinkedIn profile and review our current projects. If we see a potential match, now or in the near future, we’ll invite you for an introductory meeting.
When a potential matching client project is found, and the client is interested in your expertise, they typically conduct one or two interviews before making a final decision. If the client selects you as their consultant, we’ll proceed with the necessary agreements, either an employment contract or a subcontracting agreement, if you prefer to work as an entrepreneur.
Compensation is based on experience and project scope, typically ranging from 5000 € to 8000+ € per month. You can choose between a fixed salary or a model based on billable hours. As a subcontractor, hourly rates typically range from 60-100+ € per hour.
